Lessons

We take children from the age of 4 years and upwards.

All our lessons are half hour sessions and are based on two or three people people of a similar standard sharing, although we do individual lessons as well.

Some of our riders ride every week and some ride once a fortnight.

We aim to make all our lessons fun while instilling confidence and a knowledge of the correct way to ride and handle ponies.

We teach children to ride both in an enclosed arena and also around the fields in the summer where we have both show jumps and cross country jumps including a bank.

Both our instructors are BHS qualified and have Child Protection and First Aid Certificates.

Tish Adams is a British Horse Society Intermediate Instructor and Pony Club examiner.

Christina De’Ath is a British Horse Society Assistant Instructor and Pony Club examiner.

Between us we have over 50 years teaching experience!

Lesson Times

Children’s lessons are taught from 4pm to 6.00pm Monday to Wednesday and 9am to 12 noon on Saturdays.

Adult lessons are by arrangement from 9am to 12 noon Monday to Wednesday.

Cancellation Policy

On arrival for the first lesson we ask clients to fill in a form giving their personal details, a brief medical history, details of their experience and acceptance of our cancellation policy.

We require 48 hours notice of cancellation of lessons for whatever reason, including illness, otherwise a full lesson fee will be charged.

Children’s Birthday Parties

We are happy to organise pony parties on a Saturday afternoon for small groups of up to six children.
